Tilley AL-10 Help

    Hi all, Ive just picked up a Tilley AL-10 and would very much appreciate any info on it, any help on its age roughly, originality of its parts and are these rare? ive not come across many. Thanks

    Thanks for looking and any help is much appreciated, do these normally take the AL8 hood? or is the one thats on it original?

    The hood has been replaced with a newer one, i think it should have the 449 hood, the ones i've had normally have railway stamps on them....

    Thanks paul, i did think the hood was a replacement but wasnt 100% so thanks for that, sadly ive looked for any stampings and as of yet, cant see any, Any rough idea on the age of it?

    WOW thanks podbros! very much appreciated! i didnt think it was that old! im hoping to get a replacement 449 hood for it, but in the meantime will clean it up and give it a service and get it back into working order :thumbup:

    i can recommend the Tilley book though, it really is essential reading :thumbup::thumbup:
