    Screenshot_20251019_213651_Messenger.jpg Hi guys.
I bought a coleman 206 deluxe lamp in box with indtructions and in very good order at a local 2nd hand shop. It is all red and made in August 1982 . The only part that was missing was the wee tube from the rubber preheater top. I have read a post on google saying these are rare? Can someone please let me know what I have bought please? It runs like a brand new lamp and its obvious its done very little work. Thanks in advance .
    Cheers Ross

These are not very common, especially in the Antipodes.

    They are 550cp.

It would be good to see detailed photos of your lantern in the Reference Gallery.

    Cheers

The tubes disintegrated soon after manufacturing.
I made a brass tube replacement for one of mine and a ballpoint pen inner heated slightly and bent for another.

Hi Ross, I have a virtually unfired one of these and have seen two others here in New Zealand. Mine was like yours, perfect except for the little tube from the rubber pre-heater bulb. I made a replacement out of a ball-point pen inner and it fits pretty much perfectly, I hope it will be a bit more durable than the VERY brittle original.
