    Amish made Kerosene lantern from Lancester, Pennsylvania, USA
    Thanks to Terry Sheperd for sending it to me in the UK.

    It is. Has to be, Coleman's run at 17psi, these run at 40psi. Everything is stainless steel.

    @Paul Wallis

    Where did you get the 17psi figure for Coleman from?

    Using a fuel cap pressure gauge, full fount and 20-30 pumps as per Coleman instructions, they run at 1 bar, the smaller 242, 247, 249's run at 0.8 bar.

    In Herman Lahde’s treatise, Light and Heat from Hydrocarbon Appliances (2000) he has the ‘standard’ for operating pressure lamps at 25 to 30 psi (page 176).

    Dr Lahde worked for Ehrich & Graetz from 1926 to 1945 then went to USA to work for Aladdin Industries Inc. from (1947 to 1960) and for then for American Thermos from 1960 to 1966. He has some patents with Graetz, I think.

    Cheers

    Tony
