I was lucky enough to find this Doud Model 35 Lantern hanging in a barn in Central Minnesota. It is only the second one to have surfaced and only the first complete one, the other one was found missing the vent.
Our friend Terry Marsh took the first two images for his website and the last one shows it running on Coleman fuel.

    Great find!

Is your Doud 35 stamped on the base of the tank, like the other incomplete example?

    Thank you.

What an interesting old lantern Dean

is that tube next to the generator an auxiliary / supplementary burner or something else??

I do like the white enamel that’s used on the older lamps :thumbup:

Yes if running on kerosene, it runs just fine on Coleman fuel and it's not so hot.

    What a great lantern Dean.

Love to see these rare birds show up from time to time. The condition is wonderful for a lantern found in a barn.
    Best,

    Brian
