    Thanks to a good stovie friend, a few boxes from Australia landed at my place this afternoon.

    As I carefully unpack the boxes, I'll post interesting lamp pieces here.

    First tranche:

    Some Coleman shades and lamp bits, with an Aladdin ring-in.

    Gosh Tony, I’d be very happy if those came my way over a whole year. Wonderful!

    I’m guessing Coleman CQ, 168K and perhaps 118. In any case a nice trifecta there. The shade looks good too.

    Yes, it is a Coleman 318 shade, same as this one (but in better condition):

    Coleman 118B (Canada; 7/1937)

    This version of the Coleman 318 shade is the third and last variation, 1924 to 1928 (see Vantiger in link).

    Very nice Tony. And the print on the old plastic shade looks great.

    @Buckaroo

    It need a bit of work: has some holes and creases, and the frame is missing its centre piece, but I’ll get it usable as a display item.

    Another one the same, here:

    Coleman Shade

    Larry

    Some interesting paperwork as well - some of it Coleman, and a cassette tape of a 1998 interview with one company member of the Coleman-Thomas Quick-lite Co. of Australia (official Coleman Agents in Australia from 1921 to circa 1961). I am going to get the tape digitised. A very important piece of Australian Coleman history, which I am busting to hear. The interview was done by Kevin Holmes who was one of the TW Sands (Melbourne, Australia) crew.

    Cheers
