    Hi all,

Just interested has anyone tried using hose clamps on mantles? Is this a terrible idea? Wondering if these would make mantles much easier to attach.

Something like this: Screenshot 2025-11-10 233042.jpg

    Haven't seen it done.
But, If you get one the right size, I can't see why it wouldn't work.
Try it and let us know how you go.

I will be concerned with the heat expansion and shrinkage when cold, mantles here in the USA come with wire clip called "insta-clip" but I see them fail more than string type. The fall off from the burner tube.
