    Hello,
    I recently acquired this lamp.
    Does anyone have any information about this model 251? I haven't been able to find any information about it so far. IMG_20251115_120446.jpg IMG_20251115_120453.jpg

    In my opinion it looks like a peerless mantle.

    Neil McRae’s Pressure Lamp Catalogue has the Aida 251 as “early 1930s” and 300cp.

    Cheers

    What catalogue?

    The Pressure Lamp Catalogue has this information as two lines of text in a list of models.

    Welcome to the forum

    The pressure gauge and pump cover are pre-war,but the handwheel is like on the post-war AIDA models.
    Does the pressure gauge have a DRP stamp ?
    Please check if the tank has a scratch on the underside,for age determination.

    Hello
    Yes, the handwheel is the wrong one. I have since replaced it with an original pre-war Aida.
    The pressure gauge is labeled DRP.
    So far, I have only found the marking N/2 on the bottom of the tank.

    Please show us a photo of the scratch on the underside of the tank.

    @Jörg Wekenmann

    Can you tell us in which year AIDA was acquired by Ehrich&Graetz ?

    Hello Reinhard,

    In 1923, Jacob Hirschhorn oHG was converted into Jacob Hirschhorn AG.
    In the same year, Robert Frister AG, Berlin, acquired Hirschhorn AG.
    In 1938, R. Frister AG sold Hirschhorn AG to Ehrich & Graetz.

    Best regards,
    Jörg

    Thank you so much,I'm glad you knew that :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

    I've noticed for some time now that some of the components used by Petromax and AIDA were the same even before the war.

    Please excuse me, everyone, but I made a typo!
    It should read:
    In 1928, R. Frister AG sold Hirschhorn AG to the company Ehrich & Graetz.

    I tried to take a picture, but unfortunately the mark is too faint.

    @Jan R

    Try rubbing white chalk into the scratches, and then using a “black light”.
