Santrax 829 brass

    Hi,
    the quality looks good. I see no problems to start the lantern. But it will be unfired in my collection ;).

    The quality is the same as the modern Petromax 829 (it's the same lamp). Usually quite good but you can come across a dud one.

    Yes, you are right! I have also a similar Petromax, just pimped with an stainless steel preheater and and a hand wheel and pumpknob from the 1960th. The lantern works very good.

    Hi all!

    I got my hands on a Santrax 829 lantern like the one here now in September. Mine was a bit covered with oxidation and burner parts had hardened soot on them. Cleaned all parts, changed all seals, modified the pump piston to a one with leather cup. As original it has the o-ring Piston.
    The lantern works very good.

    Heres some pictures of it before clean up and action pictures after.
