The lamp has 1.000 HK ! It was manufactured in Frankfurt/Main in Germany probably in the 1930s. I have no documentation for the lamp. The two-part nozzle came apart during the first use, and I wonderedwhy I constantly had to work on it with the needle.After cleaning and repair, it ran perfectly on Aspen 4. What letter is on the nozzle ? Does anyone have documentation for the Continental 761 ?

A very nice picture of the even larger Continental 901 being used as a fishing lamp. Jörg ,we can now go with the Conti to Jeff Johnson to fish with him between the Shetland Islands.

Very beautiful lamp you got there Reinhard. I read the letter "G" on the nozzle.... it could be the first letter of "Gas" so what we call "Benzin" in German. The funny thing is, that I have a nozzle from a 761 with the letter "B" on it....I guess it stands for "Benzin". But these are just assumptions. My lamp is running on kerosene with a selfmade nozzle (Dia. 0,3mm), because my original nozzle was worn out and way too big. Because of the power of this lamp I am running this lamp with a 2000/2500 HK mantle from Luxor. It is tough to light it the first time with globe, but after it is hardened, it gets smaller and you are able to remove or apply the globe without damaging the mantle. With 2 bar, it is a sun equivalent . If you are running it on 1 bar, the mantle is still emitting a huge amount of light, due to the big surface, without getting immediatly blind . Try it!
Impressive lamp. Congratulations Reinhard I would never guess that such a lamps were used on fishing boats overboard - one can appreciate easy of use of modern LED lights I wonder if your lamp hanger/mast/pole (it seems to be professional piece of equipment/construction) was constructed for pressure lamps only or serves other purposes as well? all the best, Piotrek
@Piotrek and @Marc W. I spontaneously assembled the mast for two donutlamps years ago. I received three discarded galvanized pipes from an old Hungarian neighbor,which he used for antenna construction. The two winches are normally used for securing small boats to the shore. I gathered and bought the steel cable , pulleys,screws and hooks.A little Turkish neighbor boy helped me mix the ready-mix-concrete.The whole thing is height-adjustable.
