This is an German Degea lantern found here in the Netherlands on an auctionsite. The lantern was in a good condition. The glass is not original, and I guess not heat resistant. It can run on gasoline or kerosene. I tried both, but I got the best results with gasoline. The original needle was broken, it is replaced by a Hasag needle.
@Johan Osinga Congratulations on this fantastic find. That's a very interesting lamp. Thank you for the detailed presentation.
I was already thinking you had been very busy with lots of lanterns but now this one i’ve never heard of?? Looks very well made?? Thanks Johan ! Great detail
Sometimes it makes sense to rummage through the CPL's own archives! https://classicpressurelamps.com/threads/degea.2500/ Cheers Jörg
Thanks, Jörg. That’s why I asked the question: I was checking if this lamp matched the PLC description in that feature. Cheers Tony
