Here is my bakelite spirit dispenser, manufactured by Peerman (Australia) and marketed by CJ Thomas (Thomas Coleman, Australia). Circa 1950 -1954. Cheers Tony
A correction to my post above. The Australian alliance between CJ Thomas and Son and Coleman was "Coleman-Thomas". This spirit bottle is listed on pages A1 and AA4 of an early 1950s Coleman-Thomas catalogue as a "Peerman Filling Can" FC 49; and a Peerman Household Accessory, respectively. The listing on A1 says that they "...are available in attractive colours...". Cheers Tony
Thanks, Jeff. I have a PDF of that catalogue... It's rather large - but it is a very useful reference. I see you posted the relevant section on vapourisers (generators) in Phil's post. Cheers Tony
Hello Tony, yes, it's a useful catalogue and showing the innards of the Coleman vapourisers/generators was a good idea.
The spirit bottle subject of this post on the left, another with the Peerman lid (right), and a Peerman spirit bottle likely made for irons (middle). Cheers Tony
@Tony Press Hello Tony I do like the red one best, I was lucky to get it's box with mine. Cheers Marko.
@Tony Press , Nice Peerman Trio. @Marko57 Good to see the original box too but I am more impressed with the 5 burner horizontal background item.
