It’s not that warm for the 23rd of December, but starting to unwind from a pretty intense year of work, and getting ready for the seasonal flow of family (with two here already). Best wishes to all. Tony
By the look of the photo you would think it was mid winter. Not what I'm used to seeing in Australia around Christmas time. All the best and have a great Christmas and New Year.
Sitting on the verandah on a cool, very calm evening watching the Lesser Long-eared Bats exit the outer wall of the house (about 1/2 hour after sunset). [You can’t actually see these microbats in the photo] Nyctophilus geffroyi: Nyctophilus geoffroyi - Wikipedia Cheers Tony
Some lovely photos there Tony thanks as well for the bat link .. i like bats are they living in a wall space between inner and outer walls? thanks p
@Tony Press, a good bit of recycling there.! I think it might be a touch warmer where you are than it is here.! What a darling little 'flying mouse'
@podbros Here is where the bats are living. The house is single brick (outer wall) over timber framing. The widows are relatively recent wood framed replacing aluminium framed windows. Cheers Tony
Ah ! Thanks Tony it was interesting to read in the link about how the bats don’t always use echo location and the evolving battle twixt bat & moth :-) pb
