    Here are some recent pictures of one of my 9960 Powermax lanterns. Canister is a 300 gram from 2008.

    It's the one on the left. These are very bright and noisy.

    I hope you found a way to refill them, powermax canisters have long since been out of production.
    I've seen many creative ways in reusing powermax canisters, or making an adaptor to fit the current camping butane cans.

    @Dashwood

    I jumped onto the Powemax wagon when the canisters were selling for under $3 each. I have enough to last me a lifetime. I even have enough to share with friends.

    For those unfamiliar with the Powermax canisters they are date stamped on the base of the canister and the valves can fail when removed from the appliance. I've had a few fail to close upon removal over the years and I just reinstall them back onto the device. Mother nature does not like them being vented into the atmosphere.
