Please apologize me if i put my question in a wrong section. I found two adds at internet of a lanterns, which brand is unknown for me - Super Harris Original. I want to ask if anybody have some info about this brand. Seems to me like it is a GDR lantern or may be i am wrong. Thank you

I don't know anything about this brand, but this is the first time I have seen a copy of the Optimus 930 (I'm counting out the Radius 108).

What is the second lantern? Looks like a copy of Optimus 200. I have never heard of this brand before and it appears you have two. More images and detail of both please.

I am not so sure about GDR. I have seen that filler cap on another lantern but I can't remember what make or model it was. That small feature has the look of Asia somewhere. Maybe India or HK perhaps. ::Neil::

Actually i don't have these two. They are from auctions, already finished before months. I accidentally saw the first one and then google the brand and found the other lantern. I just search more info of that brand, because it looks that the copies are made with quality. I am posting more photos of the first lantern, the other one has just one photo. Both are branded the same with SUPER HARRIS Original. I have the links of the adds, but i don't know if i have permission to post them here. (both are finished)

Just check so they aren't relisted.
If they aren't, I think you can post a link to the old expired auction.

The lamps are Greek-made by Charilaos Kyropoulos.

They were made in Greece from 1960 to 1980

All the paraffin pressure stoves I’ve encountered with the script ‘Original’ appearing on them have been made in India, so Greece as the country of origin is a surprise.

Neil McRae’s Pressure Lamp Catalogue has the following listing for Harris:

    QUOTE

    HARRIS Origin unknown possibly India.

833 Copy of Optimus 930. All nickel plate. Label on collar with “Super Harris original 833/300cp”. Bail fitted with a machine screw into mixer chamber casting.

840 Copy of Optimus 200. All nickel plate with red top cap. Label on collar with “Super Harris original 840/250cp”.

I don’t know where these lanterns were made. The 833 was sold from eBay Greece and the 840 from a .com marketplace which does not give a location. They seem to be well made copies of Optimus lanterns with only the filler caps and bail fitters deviating from normal Optimus design. Possibly made in an Asian country such as India or Malaysia but the quality suggests perhaps Europe.

    END QUOTE

    Greek manufacturer.
He actually imported the materials from India, but assembled them in Greece.
There are many lamps here with the super Harris label.
He usually made copies of the original models.
There is not much information on the internet, that the older collectors in Greece know
