I've owned this lamp for a few years now; it belonged to an elderly woman who inherited it from her parents. Along with the lamp, she sent me all the maintenance equipment and the pump. It's my favorite lamp of all the ones I own. It must date from 1920, as there are no markings on the reservoir or the pressure gauge. The nozzle is distinctive, typical of Bardeau or later Secip.
OMG I’m in love again! That shade with beaded fringe is just the prettiest thing. I’m still working on my recent Lilor find and I should be happy with what I have but I can’ help feeling a little envious @jluc14.
@Jean @jluc14 A very rare and nice looking early French table lamp from the Etablissement Bardeau around 1925. In my1926 Bardeau catalogue you can see the Bardeau table lamp with two shade configurations - opal white / light green or with a six-sided fabric shade. The beaded pearl fringe is probably an addition by Jean-Luc ! The burner for these table lamps came in two sizes and I think maybe this is the bigger 150/200 CP one. The shade diameter also was different depending on the size of the burner - 25 or 30 centimeter. Attached also a Bardeau table lamp I have never seen, here as a vase lamp with a folded paper/parchment shade. /Conny
