This is strange. I have recently got into Aladdin Lamps and have bought a number of lamps that need renovation or cleaning up at the very least. I have used the font of a Super Aladdin and put a N0 23 burner in it. I have used the gallery of the Super Aladdin that is somewhat different to the No 23 burner and have fitted a non-Loxon chimney. Bingo it works great and I get perfect blue flame that you could put a mantle on with no trouble.
Now I am scratching my head. I have another Super Aladdin burner and I decided to put it on the lamp while the one that was working fine is cleaned by soaking it in some Kerosene to get rid of any old grime. Now this is strange. The second gallery gives a yellow flame and nothing that I do will make it burn blue. So I replaced the one that I had originally put on it and the flame is back to perfect blue again. I am frightened to clean it now and somewhat confused how 2 galleries that are exactly the same are giving different results.

Sorry I meant that I changed the gallery not the entire burner.

    Welcome aboard!
It's often a matter of trial and error, but it's not a good idea to mix parts from different burners.
