From time to time we get people asking the value of some lamp they want to sell, or have seen for sale, maybe in an online auction.

The usual response, from one member or another, is to point out that site policy is no valuations. I think that policy is a good one.

For no particular reason I went to see where I could find that policy statement. I found it in FAQ. It could also be somewhere else that I missed - does anyone know?.

It occurred to me that it could be more visible somehow? Then people reading and joining up in the hope of getting value advice would be less likely to do so.

    Just a thought.

Thank you PB. Of course it is. I have been past it before but it seems to be easy to skip over since rarely does it have new posts. I look for bold and blue dots.
I still wonder if it would be better if made more prominent? No doubt others will have opinions.

I just opened up the page, and saw it straight away, but I am viewing the site on a desktop PC, so viewing the site on a mobile devices might be different.? :-k
It's difficult to cater for all options. :?
I don't think there would be any objection in asking the question in a PM, just not out in the open. :-k
