Hi, now I may be being stupid but I am finding it impossible to remove the fixings keeping the window gallery and the top of the chimney on?
Have tried all manner of screwdrivers and allen keys to no avail and I'm starting to think that it's totally round all the way inside, can't see any other threads about this, nor anyone with the same issue so it's likely a case of user error, but I will ask anyway!

I agree they appear to be pop-rivets. You need to drill them out usually. The most common size is 1/8" (3.2 mm) so start by drilling the centre out with a 1/8’ sharp drill bit. If the rivet is still holding, increase the bit size slightly. You then eventually need to re pop-rivet the fixtures.

Both right, it was indeed riveted, ended up drilling them out and replacing with nuts and bolts to ease future maintenance, seems a badly thought out design to rivet something that needs replacement but maybe I'm missing the point! Cheers fellas!
