    Hi everyone.

Had a play at making a shade today, hoping to replicate similar ones i have seen on here and using dimensions from other threads.

Would be good to know what you guys think of it, and scale/proportions. This was the first go and very much a proof of concept, hoping to sort out punching the ring grooves rather than hand cutting and generally neatening up next go round. 20260127_235043.jpg 20260127_235149.jpg 20260127_235213.jpg

    Your shade looks good.
Not the same material as the original but I have seen reproductions like yours.
That is a fairly rare lamp too.

Hi Anthony, it's great to see the sales leaflet, and confirms I've got my large diameter the same as original at least!

I'm currently using a modern but very plain lampshade material. Easy to get hold of and has passed the "hot prick" tests from BS standards. I would like to find something more closely matching the original, it looks textured/spotty from the leaflet which i hadn't realised. Also need to find tune details with the extra holes and presumably rubber bands.

The lamp is in no way an original, it's a cobble up of parts and currently being used as a testbed for control cocks and vapourisers. The tank is an X246B, gallery and globe are afterarket and the burner currently in use is an X246B for the moment while i sort out cleaning up some more in keeping parts. I would love to pick up a nice original at some point though.

    Thank you!

If there's any interest i may be able to make up some more for people once I've fine tuned it?

@Jean J , one of those newer lamps that were sold in a limited market.
The 120 and 120A's seem rare enough but I don't even know what this one is called. Probably a 120A.
I don't have one, I have not seen one and I don't have any paper on it.
How often do you see them ?

Splosh has told us it's a cobbled together lamp. TL120A have a chrome finish - and the gallery is different.

But I wonder where the column came from if not a TL120A

The mention of it being cobbled together was after I posted the TL120.
Posting the 120A was a follow up to me saying I wasn't sure what it was.
Now I remember why I don't post here anymore.
