    This is a Petromax 1500 from 1965 ( 0854 ) , used for heating , lighting and cooking .
    I had to buy the glass cylinder and the radiator separately .The additional cooking ring for larger pots is unfotunately missing .
    One hole in the support frame was to small.Therefore , one of the three Supports had been incorrectly positioned for 60 years ! I noticed it when I opened the metal door and installed the radiator .

    @Reinhard

    I have never seen this lamp in person, but it appears to be very bright, and I imagine it would feel quite warm when used as a radiator as well.

    Jeff,Shinzo and Dean it's great that I caught your attention :thumbup:
    Switching from lighting to heating and vice versa is a bit fiddly because the 500cp mantle has very little space in the radiator. That's why I bought a second inner cleading #117 .The radiator heats more efficiently without the mantle.
    Shinzo,I also noticed that the light is extremely bright.I think that's because of the high airflow,since the cover doesen't have a proper cap.The warming effect meets expectations, but you don't break a sweat.I haven't tried cooking yet.
    I don't know how well the Petromax 1500 was received by customers back then.But in my opinion, Petromax reached it's peak in terms of quality with this product back in the 60s.

    Hi Reinhard,

    Congratulations on this superb Petromax No. 1500 lantern.

    Its look is truly incredible; every time I see this model, I think to myself that the engineers of that era really pushed their ideas to the limit.

    One day I think I'll add one to my collection.

    As always, a restoration done with the utmost care.

    All the best to you.

    Regards.
