Here's my Hovik Verk standard 102 lantern from Norway, I found it last week. The original globe was missing, so it's replaced by a Primus globe. The original nipple was worn out, to much orange flames around the mantle. It's replaced by a Primus 1020 nipple. It's working fine at the moment.
I think that there is nothing wrong with replacing a globe that gets broken or is missing with one of the correct size from a different manufacturer. Of course it would be nice if you could source the correct spare part, but why would you discard a perfectly serviceable lamp just for that.?
These are the best lamps in the world. Very good quality. I have several of them. One of them was my very first lamp. I found it 16 years ago in Norway. Here I am, very proud of it, with my friend Atze. He's still looking a bit skeptical. He probably suspected I'd caught some kind of illness.
