Here a beautiful Spanish lantern, with it's original globe. The lantern was very dirty when I got it, and it has carefully to be cleaned. All the seals needed to be replaced by new viton, and some of lead. The prikker rod needs a little repair, the little cirkel was broken open. I made a new one of a little piece of brass tube and silver soldered it together. The first time, I tried to lit the lantern, I used kerosene. It burns to rich. Then I tried again with gasoline/Aspen, it works well. I did a little preheat with a Tilley preheater. Here are some pictures
A very unusual lantern, and surely not easy to maintain. Congratulations to this interesting lantern, which can also be found in Neils PLC!
I Like that a lot! I'm learning so much about different Lamps from around the World! Best Regards Mark
