    Recently bought a really nice X246 ca 1950 - 54 on EBay described as untested but for £39 I was prepared for the normal refurbishment of Seals etc. It arrived beautifully packaged and as I was washing the Bowl in cold soapy Water there was a ping and a crack appeared in the Bowl. It is a real disappointment no matter it's a nice Lamp, see 'Photo. I have ordered a new 171 Bowl from Tilley.

    Ooh, that's a bit of a bugger, but these things happen, that's why they sell spares.

    That's a pity, but 171 glasses are common.
