Coleman fuel for Petromax ?

    Hello

    I have a 1954 Petrormax "sicken tank " model lantern is good shape. Font is empty and dry.
    Question- can I use Coleman fuel for this model

    Right in the Middle of Nowhere, S. Germany.
    Well, it depends.
    It will work well on gasoline.
    But it will not work safely with a highly volatile fuel.

    Get the fuel the lantern is built for: Kerosene / Paraffin.

    Thank you. Will probably have a few more questions this summer about this Petromax. These lamps are not seen in Canada very often. I hope to have it running.
