    The lamp came like this.

    A bicycle-pump valve fitting (soldered into the original filler cap and check valve:

    A fitted spirit dish from a kerosene stove:

    A fair bit of cosmetic work to do on this lamp. I will desolder the filler cap/check valve and pump screw. I’ll ponder how to deal with the handle etc as I work through the lamp. It’s in a long queue.

    Cheers

    The spirit dish looks like it was to catch drips from the valve.
    If it was used for preheating it would probably eventually scorch the valve wheel .
    It looks a bit scorched near the shaft so was likely used for preheating.

    hi Tony :thumbup:
    Was the roto tip cleaner gland soldered up or has it come adrift?

    I have’s looked to see, yet, @podbros.

    I’ve got a few used ones to choose from to replace it, anyway.

    @podbros

    The pricker lever has broken off and the generator is wrecked. But the tip/jet might be ok.

    I’m now pondering whether this lamp is a modified Coleman 169K… :-k.
