The lamp came like this. A bicycle-pump valve fitting (soldered into the original filler cap and check valve: A fitted spirit dish from a kerosene stove: A fair bit of cosmetic work to do on this lamp. I will desolder the filler cap/check valve and pump screw. I’ll ponder how to deal with the handle etc as I work through the lamp. It’s in a long queue. Cheers Tony
The spirit dish looks like it was to catch drips from the valve. If it was used for preheating it would probably eventually scorch the valve wheel . It looks a bit scorched near the shaft so was likely used for preheating.
I have’s looked to see, yet, @podbros. I’ve got a few used ones to choose from to replace it, anyway. Tony
@podbros The pricker lever has broken off and the generator is wrecked. But the tip/jet might be ok. I’m now pondering whether this lamp is a modified Coleman 169K… . Tony
