    Dears,

Please find below my favourite lamp model – old and unknown  Well, let’s see for how long. I bought it from Hungary. No letters, no numbers, no logo. It looks like 100cp Ditmar, but almost all parts are different. New to me NRV, nipple, J-tube etc. Some of the last pics present it next to 1941 Ditmar 583 – different tank, cage, collar and brass hood as well.

Very thin Jena Suprax glass with hole.

In my opinion this is pre-war lamp.

The needle was broken so I had to make a new one – piece of 1,2mm brass rod and 0,1mm steel wire were used. Not the brightest lamp, but works fine with 100cp Luxor mantle.

Please let me know if you can recognise that lamp, or have some ideas about its origin.

    All the best,
    Piotrek

I've never seen a lantern like that before.
    It's truly a mystery lantern.

And you're amazing for even being able to restore a lantern like that!

Many components are similar to these of the larger Hodac's Szeged . To me,it's clearly Hungarian.

I think it is much like a Ditmar Maximette in some details. Especially the shape of the tank, pump and fuel lid. Like this one.
Apart from the hood and some details in the cage, I think they share many details.

Thank you guys for your comments.
Personally I would say that this lamp was only "inspired" by Ditmar lamps, but it differs from small Ditmars in numerous details.
Indeed there are some similarities to Hodac's Szeged and it was found in Hungary.
    Nontheless still a mystery

    all the best,
    Piotrek
