When I purchased this lamp on the reverse side of the fount there was some very faint black lettering which indicated it was from the 48th Field Battery Royal Australian Artillery. I decided to restore the lamp to its full glory, stripping it back to bare metal, priming it, and respraying it in its original army green paint. I plan to re-stencil the writing and complete its restoration.
