Hi fellas. I’ve been working on my to do pile, I chose this HSL for the red hood in great condition. I stripped it down cleaned it up to get it going. It was going great guns until the hood started smoking and caught fire and burnt the paint off. Before I got the lantern the hood must have been painted and cured with ultra high temperature paint. The paint was no match for the heat generated.
Thanks fellas, the lantern was how I found it. The fuel cap is not original to this lantern, it’s not a good idea to have a pressure release valve near the flame. Not safe fire is iminate
