Picked this up a few weeks ago, C/V leaked badly, had to use an extractor to remove it. Got lucky and found a donor parts lantern that had a hard to remove valve itself. The bearing in the C/V took quite awhile to seal after soaking in vinegar, then hot lye and pushing acetone thru it. Finally started to seal even for a bit after all that cleaning. Lantern would loose pressure after 10 minutes, so noticed the pricker wire on the rod that is in the fuel pickup looked like it might not clear the hole in the jet at the bottom of the pickup. Filed that down and lantern ran over 90 minutes after that.
Has the heat resisting wording on the globe.
Wish someone made a tool for these to remove the C/V. Coleman type isn’t correct, nor threads the same. Ears on the tool that engage the C/V are too wide. I had to use a wide screwdriver and was lucky.
