I find it difficult/impossible to get my 1551 to pressurize to 2kg even after at least 60-80 strokes. Should I change pumpleather maybe? The manometer goes up to about 1,2kg. Maybe it is the manometer? The lamp is shining bright anyway. Or could it perhaps be the quick-lighter that is not working?
Don't stick to what the manometer says. It is not an exact measuring device but just a tool of estimation. (Indicator move to the right --> more pressure. indicator stay where it is: broken or similar pressure, indicator moves to the left: less pressure.) You may check it with a butane refueling cartridge for gas lighters. At 20°C butane will build up a pressure of 2,1 Bar. Your thumb will feel the pressure when pumping. Does the lamp work well or not is the more important question. Erik
Thanks, It seems to work pretty well. There was some pulsating in the beginning though. I am also working on the quicklighter, bur I think I need to get a tool.
