hi all new to the forum and bought 2 tilleys, bought one to use in the motorhome awning, heat and light at the same time. this is it x246b 8 86 br on the base. then got offerd this one x246 about 1955 from reading on here. is was speculum plated, but very pitted, so i have removed it and gave it a coat of satan black. derek
Welcome Derek, I too am a habitual "Vapalux/Tilley" user, take the older one with you (once properly fettled) keep it in a box to stop it getting broken, super in an awning, although the wife prefers a Bowlfire, we have a Swift Charisma and go on loads of rallies so we are not usually on electric hook up.
hi all, thank you for the welcome. been servicing the red tilley, but now have a problem lighting, it sounds as though it is pulsing as the gas is lit and not burning as it was. the reason for the service was leaking seals etc. may have disturbed something. derek
