Hi folks. Got 2 Vapalux 300's delivered today. View attachment 26060 Was wondering about the hieght of the pressure tits. One is very low and one is high. The higher of the two is blobbed with solder. So, is there a difference re the height and what do I do with the solder. Can I remove it/file it down. The solder is probably blocking a leaky tit. If the lamp is going to be used then I would leave it or file it down but be warned that if you do file it down then the leak may reappear and will need fixing again.
Thanks Matthew. Areadite or the 2 part metal stuff I have in the garage that I can't remember the name of!
Araldite does work fairly well, I used it one a KL80 .Make sure it has a few days to cure as I was impatient and it started to blow back out when I lit it but it still works now and set solid in the end.
