It depends - sometimes they can; sometimes they can't...

post a pic showing the bubbling ,that'll give the forumeers an idea of the problem,,,,if its a common tank you may be able to find someone with a spare...

 

hi thank not bought it yet guy says its a pin prick under valve

 

Pin prick means it can almost certainly be fixed with an epoxy liner such as POR15. If the lamp is uncommon enough then this can be well worth the trouble. If it's a Tilley X246B type then forget it. ::Neil::
