I found a terrible condition lantern, what do you think, it's a 2826 ? I cant screw off the nrv becaue it's need a special tool.. and i don't know what to do this lantern. Refurbish, or not...?
Hi Roy I make the tool for the NRV just need the tube size , but 16mm seems the right one for the job by the pic's Stu
Thanks, i'll write soon with the datas Unfortunatelly the excentre shaft is broken the vaporizer lower part is dead... so it has many problem, and i no idea, can i buy the needed parts?
Hi, the parts from a Petromax 829, 826,828, or from a 523 will be ok. Your lantern needs a 350cp needle/jet.
I think it has to be 2826. There were only a few models made that look like these in green and black and the only one bigger than 250cp was 2826. The others are 2821 2827 and 2827B which are all much smaller. Mind you having said that some lucky collector is probably going to turn up a 2828 and prove me wrong. ::Neil::
Can't see the badge on the collar but it looks identical to my 2826. I'd sure refurbish it. Pretty stout lantern, not a lot that could go wrong with it. VBW Dan M.
Here you can see the iron lower part of carburetor very nicely.I have only seen it on iron Petromax from 1942 to 1944. Regards,Reinhard
