what is the difference between colemans?

    does anybody know what the actual difference is between the old 639 from the 70s and the newer 639B and the newest 639C?

    as far as i know the only differences are that theres nonickel and they switched to shrader valve operation also. minor differences. the new 639c has a stamped steel burner system

    Um, as I understand it, the schrader valve was a significant step BACKWARDS with respect to performance and reliability.

    that is very interesting. because i can get a new 639c now and was wondering what it would be like.

    Arnt all the 639s stamped burner frames?

    And I think the old ones were nickel and painted.
