Henry and I were at the Ipswich Transport museum on Saturday displaying at their Wheels by Lamplight evening. A magical evening with huge numbers of lamps lighting the old trolly bus garage. As normal vast quantities of wicky crap but at least we created a bright corner.

The top two images are our display.

Nice displays. Pity they don't do things like that over here.

If only the top two images are yours, then there was a lot more than wick lamps among the rest. Funny that in England most of it is Tilley.

Well I only showed the images with pressure lamps. I guess wicky crap made up maybe 75% of the lamps on display.

A lot of the guys there are engine and vehicle restorers and they started to show lamps once or twice a year some 20 years ago. They still do what they did then which is gather in and show anything that lights without an real knowledge of what they have. Some are getting better because Henry and I have educated them and now they sort of know the pressure stuff but most still just collect anything. ::Neil:
