This #4 Radiant heater was in fairly poor shape when I found it. I spent a lot of time and effort to bring it up. It has a name plate that reads:

The Coleman Lamp & Stove Co.

which, although having a patent date of 10/10/16, indicates that (according to the Coleman Green Book dating particulars) it was built from 1925-1928. The early patent date must be for a certain part on the heater that was used on an earlier product.

This heater burns gasoline and puts out a great deal of heat. I would guess 35,000 BTU's

    Enjoy the images!

    Welcome aboard!

Glenn's heater is a real beauty, for sure. He does set the bar high.

If you need to replace any of the ceramics, check out this place here.

We love pictures. Send some when you get it and of your progress restoring it.

Dying to know, did 816oldguy get his heater and did he get it working? He’ll be a good bit older now.

Looks amazing! I’m having a hard time finding the ceramic bricks, any clue? Thanks. J.
