Looks very nice Karli! A bit difficult to read the instructions tho... It looks like it is build like the Coleman lanterns, any idea about quality? (Not that I doubt its quality, knowing the Japanese culture it is OK to copy a good thing, as long as you make it better!) Best regards, Wim

This is Rinnai model RK 9516 made by Rinnai Mfg. Co., Ltd. Fukuzumi, Nakagawa, Nagoya, Aichi, Japan. They were made around the early 1960s. The same lantern was sold by Montgomery Ward in the US 1963-1964 as Western Field model EKW 9561A. They are about as good as the Coleman equivalent at the time which was Coleman 220E. ::Neil::
That's a very nice looking lantern, that "hammerite" style finish does give it a very rugged and businesslike look. I have had several Japanese made stoves, which were (are) excellent, so I don't doubt that this is a quality lantern. I am assuming this is the same Rinnai that is today best known for their gas fired water heaters and appliances? Regards, Doug E.
