    Hello!

I'm thinking of increasing the burning time of my PETROMAX 500.

Currently I have about 8 hours of operation with 1 liter of kerosene.

If I put a 150 nipple along with a 150 mantle on my PETROMAX 500?

My idea is to reduce the kerosene consumption, even with less bright.

I hope to have a PETROMAX 500 working for longer hours, even with the mantle less bright.

    Is it going to work?

You will need to adjust the air gap to the proper distance, (the jet tip to the base of the J tube on the lantern burner hat?)other than that, I don't see why it would not work.

It is a interesting experiment you are doing I think and I am looking forward to the result - please share later on.

The 8 hours O:) I believe that is almost as cheap as power through wires if it isnt cheaper. And then you get all the heat too.
Why do I pay for that electric stuff  when I have all my lamps and 2 cats to keep me warm cheaper and more funny

The Petromax 150 also has a smaller burner and I think other parts are different too, for example the mixing tube. It's worth a try, but I suspect there will be a problem with overheating at one spot and underheating at another.

    Good luck!
