This is an interesting one, I tend to suspect this was one of the 1st generation of the locally produced Aladdin 1A's

I have listed it as 40's - 50's but most likely in the later part of the decade.

You will notice that it still has the 12A lock down pump and wing nut filler cap.

All metal apart from the vent and galleries, although it does have a metal " J " tube. Metal generator. " Aladdin 1A " on the collar. The interesting part is that the Fount is finished in the olive green but has the " Crackle " finish.

Has the 1 piece glass cage support.

I have about 20 of these 1A's all different in some form. Are you interested in having them posted or content with whats on here now.

Is the tank brass or steel. I've only seen these 'features' on the all steel 1A. My thoughts were that the all steel version was from the war years, so would assume this one is too. I've never seen a 12A with this style of pump and filler cap.

I'll be back home in Bundaberg next month for a holiday, so plan to take photos of my Australian stuff. Hopefully there will be some Aladdin lamps I can post here when I get back.
