This is one American Gas Machine Company Gasoline lantern model 3016, maybe one of their most common models, sadly often found with stress cracks ( as many AGM lanterns ) so was this one, but i have sealed it with a tank sealer ( this soemtimes work but not always so i do NOT reccomend this procedure on Gasoline lanterns ). The make of the glassglobe is, McKEE Glasbake and has the text Coloso on the oposite side of the McKEE Logo. Nice and good working lantern, Frederik
The first indication of this model is in a 1949 catalogue and it is not lised in earlier parts catalogues. However from the number I would have expected it to date from around 1938 as the number is out of sequence. Almost certainly a post WW2 product and probably 1945 to about 1950-1951. ::Neil::
Post WWII for sure, and they were rebranding as Kamplite starting about 1949 or 1950, so 1945-1950 for sure.
