    hello all
I have an old military 1944 Coleman lamp
The fount and collar have to be repainted

Is anyone know the exact match for the green Coleman ?

    I also need the stickers
Is it possible to find that ?

I believe Fred Kutz does the decals, if you email him you can ask for his online catalog.

I just looked at a 1944 Coleman 252, and a 1946 220C and both have the standard dark green glossy paint. The 252 Mil-Spec. has a green painted collar, the 1946 220 has an unpainted steel colar. The paint color is consistent with the 242s of the period that I have, but a lighter color (more yellow?) than the late model Colemans of the last few decades.

There should be folks here with better information on the paint colors along soon, or check the Coleman Collectors Club site for paint specs.

    Michel:

I had my 1944 Coleman 252 sitting next to the computer screen, looking at the RAL color chart. It may be my old eyes, or the artificial light, etc., but I could find no good match for the Colman 1944 paint on the chart, which may be oxidized a bit from the original color. It is a darker green than those presented on the chart.

There is a paint color in the US called "Forest Green", which is a close match for the "Coleman Green" I wonder if Coleman.com carries paint to restore their stoves and lanterns?
