Hi - today i bought a Primus 1020 at a market, it is not in the best condition and I bought it for spareparts only. When I came home, I just had to see if it could run, and after removeing a lot of dirt, spiderswebs etc, and replacing a gasket in the fuelcap, it runs nicely :) On the underside of the fueltank it says AL10, I know that AL is 1947, but what does 10 mean :?:
    Regards Niels Chr.

There have been long discussions about these numbers and the bottom line is that we don't know. There is a hand written note that exists that refers to this number as a work number. That could mean the tool, worker, or something completely different. Unless something new turns up I'm not sure we will ever know. In a way I think it's nice to have something that is a mystery. :)

I agree. It's sort of nice that we actually don't know everything.
And this particular number gives a topic to talk about now and then when someone who hasn't been around CPL or CCS for too long bring it up. ;)
We do know that it's not a number for the month, and hardly for a week either.
A work station for later quality check is the most probable.
