Here is my example of this lantern, it's very bright! This lantern is also fitted with an Anchor 500cp., mantle, Jeff.
Hail Jeff and all viewers. Here is my Hipolito running atop the dining table aboard my boat. It has to be a good 30 to 50 years old if a day. It is nickeled, not chrome and has survived reasonably well for being neglected as so many of them are. I bought it for a song on Mother Ebay and dug out the liquid Brasso.....! It looks reasonable when you go by on a galloping horse. The light of this 500 CP is quite intense at full pressure. It will become my 'boat lantern' to take onto the stern and fish with on the warm, summer evenings. It's seen here wearing a nickel plated 'hat', shade, from a Wenzel 500 that I also own. The tooling quality is on a par with any of the better lanterns, it's quite good. Thank you suffering through my rants. Captain Mike De Long afloat in Hampton Harbor, Virginia.
Here are some images of my Hipolito H-502 after an overhaul which I did today and it was good to spend time fettling a lantern in my shed, I did need to have my Tilley R-1 going though.
Hello Tony, yes, the lids on my compost bins would not stay there for long without the rocks and my washing needs lots of pegs.
