Any UK members bought from them? I treated myself to a storage case for my Hipolito 500 for our camping hols.
Bought on buy it now & paid. Now they tell me they will not ship to UK. All their auctions I checked state shipping to EU except Gibraltar, Romania, Greece, Albania, Belarus & Ukraine via Hermes. What problem does the UK present? My othet half gets weekly Hermes deliveries from Germany without problems.

Apparently 70% of UK deliveries get returned.

Any idea why Ross? If you like, you can have it send to me, and I'll post it to you. To bad I can't make it to Newark this year, it would have saved some cash

    All the best,

    Wim

Thanks for the offer Wim! I'll try & find another source (Pelam maybe?) but if not I may take you up on that. It's a bit of an extravagance but useful & I don't have the time or inclination to make one myself on top of everything else.

Why the 70% returns? I don't know. Given Tess's past experience I would have said it's because Hermes are crap but they seemed to have improved a lot over the last year.

My nephew ordered some new ski boots for delivery via Hermes. Claimed they had attempted delivery but left a card as no-one was in. A bit odd as he was having them delivered to his work which is open 5am to 10pm. Two more deliveries were failed as 'no-one was in'. Was told the parcel was at the depot so he went there but they couldn't find it. Eventually delivered 10 days late on the eve of his skiing holiday.

That's like our experiences although much better recently.

Got my refund this morning & the transaction cancelled so all is well. I have ordered one via the Pelam site. Maybe I should have done that in the first place.

Hermes recently refused to deliver to my near neighbour because of the state of our access road (mentioned here recently) and left an expensive item for her in one of our wheelie bins! Good job that wasn't bin day. Road re-surfaced last week so anyone holidaying in N.E. Scotland is welcome to come and try it out.

You guys are making me love the postal services in the U.S. even more than usual. The Canadians can be a tad picky, but the USPS is wonderful!

Forgot to check up on any follow up to this - so yes, plenty room for caravan, even some tents but could also offer accommodation indoors to the house-trained Tilley collector!
