Why isn't members location not showing on posts. The post count is there and avatar. A handy feature of CCS I find is knowing the location of someone. Sorry to be a pest. Jeff
I agree, Jeff, knowing a member's location can be very helpful. It's important, though, that whichever way members choose to put down their location, it's understandable by people from all around the world. As just one example, the two letter codes used to denote US states are mostly incomprehensible to me, and, I daresay, a lot of the rest of the world. For instance, if I said I was located in MX, how many people here would know where that was..?
I've asked the techs as I have the settings the same as CCS. There is a small bug with Country in profiles as well but that's old news. I've asked for an update on that too.
Ah, well I was referring to the county in England - which kinda makes my point! Members' locations, if they've given them, that is, can be found in their personal profile. Might I also suggest Erwin Schafers collectors map? Click on the UK map and you can find out just where I'm situated (not MX, you'll notice!). I'm surprised more collectors don't take advantage of this, but there you are...
I have been to England too but I just wanted to prove your point. It is neat to know where people live. Some people on the other side of the world has the same lamp I do. It reminds me that we all have something in common and I would bet good money that we all have more in common. Best regards, Jeff
Might be but it was here first. Anyway California is a steet in Baldock near Letchworth in the UK. Got at least 5 houses in it I guess. ::Neil::
Neil everything was there first .That is why we have New York ,New Jersey,New Hampshire Etc. Or how about the New England states. We were all English subjects at one time. God save the Queen!
Well, Toronto is in County Durham, England. Here's the proof:- The guy is Iain Perkin (Canadian Iain at CCS) who came over to visit last summer - he's from Toronto (the other one). A few miles up the road from Toronto is Quebec and further on is Philadelphia and beyond that, New York. Maybe that should be New New York - I don't know. Small world, isn't it..?
Hi ! My sister went to " California " recently , rented a house there over looking the sea in late october, not much to do out of season , what do you expect !! a few miles north of " Great Yarmouth " , Norfolk ,England !! ...mick
Wim I finally went to Hoboken this year. Right across the river from New York City. Wow what a place. You have to make sure you are out of there before dark! I live in Audubon NJ and bought a Starbucks in Audubon PA. Dan
Anything new on the location being shown? I see it for a few people, but not in every forum for the same person. Same with the birth date.
I've got to check out one of the php files - just not had the time yet. Will get onto it next week. If it's not that it will be over to the techs.
What's the latest on the location being shown? I can see it would have helped a couple of times recently.
