help mate iron

    heres a very old and working iron its gravity fed and boy does it get hot ;im not sure of the year but it sure is in good condition for the age ;maybe in the 30s i have found 3 so far searching and one went for over 200 bucks at an auction ;do enjoy

    I have similar device, but it's claimed to be for spirit (nobody knows for sure, original user/owner passed away a long time ago).
    The valve is leaking, so in the dark it looks like ship in flames (it has numerous round holes in the sides, those look like windows) :mrgreen:

    nice to know another member has one of these and yes they are gravity fed and boy do they get hot at times i had to use a wet cloth as the tank and handle got quite hot ;i had the same problem with mine leaking around the control valve i re packed it and now it works like new ;rare thats for sure i did a search one day to see how many i can find and only 3 ;one sold for a little over 200 bucks ;mine i found at the local flea market for 40; thou i cant get the mrs to press a pair of pants with it hehehe ;

    seems the mrs growing up back in the day used a few of these things and her arms are worn out ;so if i need anything pressed i have to do it and what fun it is :lol:
