Does anyone here attend Haddenham Steam Rally? http://www.haddenhamsteamrally.co.uk/ I attend this every year as a visitor and it's one of the highlights of my year, obviously it helps that I like steam engines but there's a lot more beside. As I mentioned in another thread there's always a good turnout of stationary engines too and you can see some of them in their gallery from the link above... One thing lacking... lamps; and I can't help thinking some sort of presence might be welcome especially as they go on into the night with a stage show and the fair.
you will allways know when im about at a steam rally at night can be seen walking with a latern in my hand or a few light up around the caravan . surprises me how far the light can be seen from . matt
I've just had an email back from the organisers saying that they are full for this year.... I'll leave my contact details with them for next year and this year just go along as a visitor anyway. It's always a good day out especially if we get good weather for it.
Just bumping the topic as it is this weekend... Sadly as mentioned above lamps won't be represented this year but all the same it's always a good show. I've been seeing them starting to setup over the course of this week as it's on my way to work. The steam engines will probably start arriving today too. I know from previous years as I've been stuck behind some of them. I'll be there this Sunday and hopefully the good weather will hold!
