There are some great upturned boat sheds on Lindisfarne. Just google "Lindisfarne boat sheds" to see them.

Hi Mick. I recall the old railway carriage sheds being used as club houses for the local bowling clubs (i.e. Old Men's Marbles - flat green around here) in the local park. Also on allotments. The only one I can think of now is on the A591 just after you turn off the A66 heading down towards Grasmere - on the left about 100m from the road. There are loads of the metal goods wagons being used as sheds all over the place but they don't hold the same attraction. Just the place to house your collection and have a few stoves for a brew-up - lovely. Anyway, the shed you saw in my back garden was given away to a young lassie to keep her Harris Hawk in - Aristotle he was called, or some other Greek philosopher-type anyway, maybe Archimedes. I did make his acquaintance and he was quite happy to sit on my hand. Stupidly, it never occurred to me to take a camera. My new 'shed' is a slightly posh log-cabin / summerhouse type of thing. Currently only four walls, doors and window but I'm determined to get the roof on tomorrow! I've great plans for it - woodburner (currently sitting in my garage), 'puter, TV, fridge, camp-bed, workbench, wood-working tools, lamps and stoves etc. Heaven... BTW, sheds made out of old boat hulls are cool in the extreme - in fact, glacially cool to the point of being cryogenic! Just all that crap underneath it spoils for me the one mentioned originally...
Trams were sometimes used as sheds, though most have either disintegrated or been dragged off for preservation now. There's a nice pair of GWR railway coaches used for accommodation at Coalport. You can't see them in 'Streetview' on Google maps as the owners have had Google 'fuzz' the entire property - and I don't blame them for desiring to maintain privacy. Does seem odd to use an upturned boat no longer able to keep water out, as a roof to keep water out. I dare say many layers of tar and canvas are in evidence.
