Here is my example of a Len Smith lantern, made in Hong Kong. Somewhere I red that this was a brand of Union Metal Works. There is no evidence of the production year.

The lantern is entirely made of brass, except the red top and the base plate of the burner assembly, both are made of steel.

The pump unscrews like Coleman, and there is a positive shut off valve present, the cleaning needle is separately operated.

The hood is fixed with three bolts, two holding the bail and a centre nut on top.

The globe was already replaced by a Coleman globe as I got it.

Hello Karli - I just found one that I plan on restoring. I have ordered most the parts. Do you know where I can get the red handle for the pump?
